Eye Check-up

Me, my husband and my 6 years old son Dustin got an eye check up this morning. It went well and they didn’t find any disease in my eyes. My eyes seems healthy and there’s nothing wrong in it. It’s been a long time since my last eye check up. It’s nice to go once a year just to make sure everything’s okay. My husband need a new contacts and Dustin need a pair of eyeglasses. I heard that he don’t have good focus and the doctor mentioned astigmatism, so I guess Dustin has it but its not that bad though because when he get his eye checked and let him read numbers and letters, he seems pretty good at it, he can’t just read a very small letters. Well, either can I, if its too small already, I can’t read it far away. Anyhow, we didn’t get Dustin eyeglasses yet but we have the prescription and we can get it anytime we want. Maybe we can get it next week or so.

Planning for tomorrow

Tomorrow is another day to get together with our brother and sister in our congregation. We invite 4 families to have dinner with us and of course we have a lot of kids tomorrow about 8 kids and 9 adults. I am planning to make Chicken king ranch casserrole, make an angel lush pineapple for dessert, beans for side dish and a homemade salsa. One of our sister will bring another dish and dessert, some of them will bring tortilla chips, spanish rice and drinks. So far we are all set, we are just waiting for them tomorrow to come. Mike will be working 8 hours tomorrow until 3pm, so tomorrow morning, I might going out on service if the weather is nice then in the afternoon clean the house and start cooking around 4pm because my guest will come at 5:00. That's all my plan for tomorrow! Dana and Dustin already excited to meet their friends.

Mommy and baby

My sweet little pie give me a big hug! Love my sweetie pie! She say Thanks for her lovely dress that I made for her yesterday. She said, she will wear it in our vacation or whenever we go for a ride. She looks adorable on that dress and will absolutely make her more dress this spring ;-)

Homper for Spring!

I made two brown homper for me and Dana, this is perfect to wear this spring. It's easy to make and instead of short, I decided to make it a skirt and instead of tube homper, I decided to make it a backless type where you can tie the thing on your neck. Dana loves it and I am so happy for my new creation for this week :-)

Sledding...

This photo taken last week. We still have a little bit of snow in the backyard, just enough for the kids to play but this week, the snow starting to melt and the little snow hill we made last week already melted so we never get a chance to go and play outside. This coming Tuesday and Wednesday it said, we will have more snow in the Valley so hopefully the snow will file it up again that way we can build another hill for the kids to play for their sled. I just hope it won't get so cold this week because I don't like it when the temperature drops down to zero hehe :-) but will see...

Welcome Year 2012!

I am welcoming the year 2012! We are so happy that we got the house we like. Our moving work out pretty good. I'm done unpacking all the stuff and we started getting to know people in the area. We just invited a couple of friends from our congregation and we had them come over for dinner. We had great time, since they have two kids also, two boys a 1 year old and a 2 year old. My kids Dana and Dustin having a lot of fun. We wish that this coming 2012, will be a great year to us. I am still hoping that we can visit my family in the Philippines this year. Looking for a tropical fish

In this small town of Monte Vista, they don't have great selections for tropical fish. We already look in this town but it seems like they don't have pet store in the area. We look in Alamosa but they only have one pet store up there, they don't have so much tropical fish. Well, they have couple but they are not pretty good and some of their fishes are look sick. I guess we need to drive to Pueblo tomorrow and look more tropical fish. We only have two fish left in our aquarium and we need to add a little bit more, maybe 8 more fishes to make it to 10. Will see, if we can find more fishes that is not too expensive in Pueblo.

In our new home...

We just moved in last Thursday and that day was not a good day because it was snowing a lot and it was freezing cold but you know what? the people unloading our stuff doesn't care at all. They give their 100% service and they finish unloading our stuff within 3 hours. They are pretty fast and they did pretty good, we will absolutely hire them again next time. This is the 3rd time that we moved and Atlas Van Lines is the company that we trust to pack our stuff. I am almost done unpacking our stuff, one box to go in our bedroom and the boxes at the garage, I think my husband will do it by himself because most of them are just tools and old stuff for the kids. Anyhow, these are some photos I took that time in our moving day :-)

Will moving soon!

Our moving is getting near! Next week will be the house closing and I guess the moving company will come over and start packing all our things. I never get a chance to say goodbye to some of our brother and sister in our congregation but I guess I still have one more week to do that. This week, me and my friends will have get together here in the house and let them know that we’re moving soon now. I will going to miss them a lot. I will just try to make myself busy when we get there and meet new friends in Alamosa. We can start a new life there and hopefully we can spend more time on service. The weather there is more colder than her so I am not sure if I will like it. Well, it’s only cold on winter but in summer it will be nice. My husband says we can do more outdoor stuff like sledding in winter, hiking on spring or summer and if we need to do a big shopping, we can visit Pueblo to do all those stuff. There are a lot of things to do there and I heard that they have nice hot spring too.

We find the house we like!

Last week on Thursday, we visit Monte Vista and stay for one night and then on Friday, we get a chance to look for houses. We ended up seeing one house since the two house that my husband like is not available anymore. The other house is like Italian style and someone already rented the house. The other one is a manufactured home and my husband said, we won't be able to get any manufactured home style. Well, we have another one that he like the most and when I saw the house, I started to like it. It's more bigger than our house, the backyard has a huge space and they already have a deck and a garden. There are a lot of room in the house about 2014 square feet and .38 lot size. It's pretty big and has a 3 car garage. I think this is perfect for us with 3 bed and 2 full bath and have two walk in closet. The house was built in year 1997 and the house is well taking care off. We are looking forward to move in our new house this coming 20th I guess or not before New Year. But will see ;-)

The flooring is done!

We hire Tile Meister to do the tile job. They did pretty good! They finish it in two days.

This is how it looks like now! Mike already put the base board and a carpet. I'm glad we finish the flooring. My husband did a lot of work this past couple days. This morning he finish painting outside and add frame in the window. It looks pretty nice!

we did a lot today!

Wow, we did a lot today! This morning we been looking houses around here in Alamosa and Monte Vista and so far we find some nice houses that is really affordable. I wonder if those houses will be available after 6 months. We’re not sure yet of when will be moving but I guess next year we will. When we get back from house hunting, we go back to the hotel and take a rest for a while and have dinner here at the restaurant. Then after dinner we went for swimming at the water park! My leg was really sore and I bet it will be sore tonight. I need a massage therapist right now because my back is hurting too. gaining weight...

I been eating a lot this past few weeks and some of my pants won’t fit me anymore! That means I need a new pair of pants. I can’t believe I am wearing size 2-3 now because before, I was in size 0. Some of my friends told me that I look good but my husband said, I need to loss weight. Well, maybe I need to get back on my diet routine because if I gain more weight, I might need to try the best weight loss pills available in the market today.

Dana Jumpsuit

 This is the jumpsuit I made for my little girl. It turns out pretty good. I use the light jeans fabric and guess what? she loves to wear it! Its not hard to make, I watch gianyl video on youtube since she has a video on how to make a romper. So instead of making my romper, I just make Dana her romper first then I will make mine next time because it takes a lot of fabric to make one for my size. I'm glad I made this, next month when we get back to our vacation, I will make one for me too just like this :-) Enjoy!

our plans...

We have a lot of plans here in the house, we are trying to get rid of our old TV’s and get a new plasma tvs. But for now, we still need to finish the patio and put the tiles in it. The freezer is not working anymore that’s why we bought a small freezer and a small fridge to put in the garage, that way we can store more frozen foods out there. We spend more than $400 including the outdoor swing. It’s a lot of money already but hopefully we won’t spend the money we have in our saving, will spend that money in our vacation and when we get back to our vacation next month? I will surely be a busy mommy, because Dustin will start going to school next month. But will see what happen, we are still searching plasma Tvs and get a new tv stand too as well.

Sleep late...

I don't know why I am still awake this late. I just can't sleep! Even if I close my eye, my mind won't stop thinking about something. Kind a miss my family, still thinking about the kids especially that Dustin will be in school next month. I am also thinking the time when I met my husband. I am just happy and overwhelmed I think. I'm glad I finished all my assignments, I am just watching movie right now online and maybe in a minute I will try to close my eyes and sleep :-)

Library day...

Today is library day, I took the kids at the library this morning. Dana was so excited as well as Dustin. They did pretty good, they listen well and participate at the story time telling. Dana raise her hand and pick up the pink circle. I am so proud of her and Dustin answer when the lady ask him what is today and he says ‘its Thursday! It was pretty good and they play at the play area after together with some other kids at the library. I saw a lot of new born babies out there, they are so cute! I remember the time when Dana was just a little one, now she is a big girl and Dustin will start school this month! Kids grow so fast isn’t it?
