Tooth Infection...

I woke up with a pain in my right jaw. My tooth is very painful and sensitive. This is the tooth that I have root canal with and a crown on it couple years ago and last year, I had it cleaned at Colorado Spring then the assistant accidentally pulled the crown and it came off. They managed to put it back and when I had my cleaning again last January at my new dentist at Pagosa Spring, I noticed that when they start cleaning that area of my tooth, it become sensitive so I was thinking maybe that's why it got infected now. My gum are swollen and it gives me dizziness and headache, Good thing my husband called our dentist right away and make an appointment and when they scan it, they saw the problem of my tooth. It really got infected and they give me antibiotic good for 10 days then I need to come back after 2 weeks and make an appointment that way they can pulled the tooth out and they are suggesting for implants. So we are still thinking about it and see if our dental insurance will covered even half of it, so will see... Now, i feel a lot better and still waiting for my appointment for next week. So if you guys have a tooth infection? don't wait any longer! Call your dentist right away and make an appointment, its not fun to have a toothache, its very painful!

Unique clouds formation...

I thought this cloud has a unique shape. Its weird and rare, you think? This was taken when were headed to Colorado Spring from Aurora. Its like a wave clouds.

Pretty Mountains of Colorado Spring

I took this photo when we're heading to Colorado Spring to visit the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo for the 3rd time! I like the shot of this mountain, it was pretty! Its a little bit cloudy but it was nice.

Strong smell from the hot tub due to excess chlorine

We stayed for one night in one of the Hotel in Pueblo after going to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo at Colorado Spring. We wanted to enjoy another night at the Hotel and it was a nice stay until we go swimming that night after dinner. I noticed the hot tub has some kind of a weird bubbles when we turn it on. I went there and touch the water and see how warm it is but I smell a very strong chemicals that cause me to cough couple times. My two kids, 10 years old and 7 years old jump into the pool right away and the pool is not warm, it was cold so of course the kids went to the hot tub to warm up. I told my husband about it but we end up just ignoring it. So my husband and I didn't went swimming, we're just watching the kids having fun then until couple times back in port to the pool and hot tub my daughter started complaining that her body feels burning and its really itchy. That alarm us that this is something bad, so we take her out in the water, rinse her and took her right away in our room and give her a cool bath but it make it worst. She started shaking and crying so my husband told me to change quick and we need to take her to the nearest hospital because she had bad reaction to the excess chlorine in the pool, she had chemical burn in her skin. My son has little bit of rash but its not as bad as Dana, so it really ruin our stay. My husband talk to the management about what happen and hopefully they taking care of the pool before someone get the same experience us ours. We got home almost midnight and we head out around 10am. Good thing she is a little bit better before we head out, the aloe gel and mist and also tylenol helps her a lot.

my new haircut!

Its been a long time since I went to the Saloon and get a haircut. I usually just keep trimming my hair myself and cut it myself and even color myself but this time since our special assembly is coming. I was thinking to make a change. I been thinking a lot of cutting my hair a little bit shorter this time. I'm happy with the results though. My hair looks fuller than before and she ask me if I have a plan to color it, she will give me a discount but to pay more than $50 to color hair, I was thinking (nahhh... i will do it myself) because i only have particular color that I like. So I did and it looks really nice!

Oobleck for the Science Project

It was so nice to see my daughter enjoying their science project today. They are making Oobleck! I never heard such thing until they finish making it and then I remember, we bought that before at store and my kids think it was yucky and gooey. It looks like playdough but its more slimy and gooey. It turns out pretty good though and the teacher give them each piece to bring home. I got a chance to help out and help the kids making it. I come every afternoon twice a week to help out the teacher, just volunteer my time to help out in case she needs help and also its nice to see my daughter enjoying school.

Here's how they made it! They made elmers glue and borax for this science project instead of just water and cornstarch but it works pretty good! Here's all you need:

Elmers glue (8 oz bottle)
Borax
Large mixing bowl
plastic cup
spoon
measuring cup
food coloring
water
You need paper towel after to clean up!

Procedure:

Fill the empty bottle with warm water and shake then pour the glue water mixture into the mixing bowl and use the spoon to mix well.

Add a drop or two of food coloring then measure 1/2 cup of warm water into the plastic cup and add a teaspoon of Borax powder to the water. Stir it. While stirring, slowly add a little of the Borax solution. Put away the mixing spoon and use your hands to do the mixing. Keep adding the Borax solution to the glue mixture until you get the perfect slime Oobleck. Then its done! you can seal it up in a zip lock bag after you finish playing your Oobleck. Enjoy!

Change a plan...

We are supposed to go out in the ministry in the morning but then my husband received a call from work. He needs to ran down to Poncha Spring and needs to turn off something, I am not sure what but he ask me if we can change the plan. So I said its fine, do what you need to do and we can just go out in the ministry some other time. Its about an hour drive to Poncha Spring and we can do shopping too at Salida while he do his work. We had lunch there and we got the things we need to get at Salida downtown. They have really nice downtown. Its small but they have nice stuff out there. They have couple consignments store that carry used branded clothing. We are looking for my son's spring jacket and a dress suits too, so far we found the dress suit jacket for less. We got a good deal with it and we seems spend almost $500 in there. We got home around 4:30pm and I still have time to make dinner! We had steak for dinner! Yummy!

Crane festival in the Valley is coming!

I am looking forward for the Crane Festival. We already see tons of sandhill cranes in the valley when we drive going to Saguache. I bet there are some more on the 8th South. The crane festival will be held this coming March 11-13 and one of our friend will set up a booth in the crane fest at Ski Hi and I will also be able to sale some of my paintings! I already made couples of rock paintings of cranes and hopefully I'll get it sold or I can sell it at yard sale online. Last year I did the same thing and I sold couple of my artwork and rock painting. So Im looking forward for all the handmade artwork they will have at the crane fest. So will see...

Steak for dinner!

Mike bought a steak for dinner tonight and it was on sale at safeway. It was half price and he bought 3 packs of steak! So it means, we will have steak straight for 3 days! I love steak but not so crazy about it though  but I am happy because it feels like it is a special day for us. Just like when we had our 10th years anniversary, we had steak that time too. So  since it was on sale and it was really look good then why not right? My husband couldn't resist steak and even my 10 year old son love it! Of course I love to have steak with bacon asparagus, mashed potatoes, mushrooms with tons of butter and also rice! My daughter doesn't like steak so I make her something else but at least she eat the bacon asparagus with her rice and chicken cream soup. So it was such a nice dinner for our family. Love it!
