Homper for Spring!

I made two brown homper for me and Dana, this is perfect to wear this spring. It's easy to make and instead of short, I decided to make it a skirt and instead of tube homper, I decided to make it a backless type where you can tie the thing on your neck. Dana loves it and I am so happy for my new creation for this week :-)

When the kids was born, the hats that the nurses put on them are very cute. We have a friend before, she loves making crochet baby hats and they look really adorable. The thought of moving to a new house is really quite a daunting task for me. First of all I have three small children that still expect to be fed and take naps and all the normal routine things that we do at the house every day. Second of all our house even though it is not all that large holds a lot of stuff. We have stuff everywhere in ever nook and cranny. All of the stuff is the main reason why my husband and I decided to move in the first place and now that we are actually moving it is the reason why I don’t even want to think about the packing process. I know we have hired movers to come in and pack up most of the big stuff and transport it to our new home with more room for more stuff and new stuff but I am exhausted just thinking about doing all the work. Apple green dress

I am so happy that I sew a simple nice dress. I really like apple green, one of my favorite color. I bought a 1 1/2 yard fabric in a thrift store for only $1. Isn't that a great deal? just enough to make a dress and a skirt for my 3 year old daughter. It's my first time to make a dress with sleeves! and so far I did pretty good, I still need more practice hehe :-)

horseback riding...

Way back in my hometown, Philippines. I been wanting to ride a horse but we don’t have any relatives or friends that own a horse. When I got married and we moved in Grand Junction I saw a lot of people own horses and I found out to one of our friends in the congregation that there is actually a place where you can ride a horse but you need to pay for it. Its about 25-30 miles away from our town. It would be nice if I can experience those things. It sounds really fun to ride a horse but it is also scary. What if the horse don’t like me or what if I fall? Well, I guess there is someone who will watch you when you do such thing.

Anyhow, there are a lot of horse breeds you need to consider when you buy a horse. But for me, I would love to have a white Tennessee Walking horse. We got our new Alienware Laptop!

Our new Alienware Laptop just came last Tuesday and my husband and I are very excited to set up the new computer. This computer is for him to use when he play his eve online game. We have 3 computers now, one for me, one for my husband and one for the kids to use for their online school. The alienware laptop, we got cost a lot about 2 thousand dollars something. Well, I guess its worth it because my husband love it a lot, the connection was so fast, the features are really cool and amazing and it glows in the dark too. Back to sewing...

Since we moved, I only sewed two dresses for me and about 3-4 Dana's top and skirt. Sometimes, I got lazy to do sewing but whenever I get a chance or not busy so much with the kids and have nice fabric available then that's the time that I can spend time with my sewing machine. It makes me happy to see my creation even though it's not a professional look. It makes me proud to see the clothes my little girl wearing, even though I don't have more skills in sewing but at least I can create a simple dress that is not complicated to make. American Idol is Back

It’s time for the return of American Idol! It’s hard to believe we have reached season 11. This should be a good season without all the drama of new judges or concern about who likes or doesn’t like who. For example—everyone thought Paula and Simon just HATED one another. Then who does Simon pick as a judge on his new show? PAULA! All drama manufactured by the tabloids to get free press. When the new dates and times showed up on my Cable TV Advisor I put them on my calendar so I would not miss an episode. Unlike many people I like to watch the early episodes with the auditions. It’s fun to try to pick who will make it the farthest and who will even be successful outside of the show, in spite of how far they make it. I don’t always agree with the judges opinions at the auditions or who they pick to move on. I wonder if not getting chosen might even be the best thing for some of these folks? It would be interesting for AI to do a follow up show on people who didn’t make it in the auditions.

Sledding...

This photo taken last week. We still have a little bit of snow in the backyard, just enough for the kids to play but this week, the snow starting to melt and the little snow hill we made last week already melted so we never get a chance to go and play outside. This coming Tuesday and Wednesday it said, we will have more snow in the Valley so hopefully the snow will file it up again that way we can build another hill for the kids to play for their sled. I just hope it won't get so cold this week because I don't like it when the temperature drops down to zero hehe :-) but will see...

roller chain

I never seen my husband rode his bicycle before. I am not sure if its still working or not. I think it still work but maybe it needs air on the bikes wheel because it seems flat and needs air. We check the roller chain and it seems fine. This summer, he said we will go for a family bike ride. Since I don’t have my own bicycle, we are planning to get one this spring time I guess. The kids have their bike, we bought it last year at Walmart. Welcome Year 2012!

I am welcoming the year 2012! We are so happy that we got the house we like. Our moving work out pretty good. I'm done unpacking all the stuff and we started getting to know people in the area. We just invited a couple of friends from our congregation and we had them come over for dinner. We had great time, since they have two kids also, two boys a 1 year old and a 2 year old. My kids Dana and Dustin having a lot of fun. We wish that this coming 2012, will be a great year to us. I am still hoping that we can visit my family in the Philippines this year.
