we're almost finished!

At last we have big space now in the kitchen because we took the sliding door in the patio. It’s not really done yet, it needs a lot of work. Next week the friend of the brother we hired to do the finishing will be here and after that we can start painting. We still need to buy more frames to hang in the wall and look for prices for ceiling fans too. Can’t wait to see the whole look of the patio. I am sure it will look great when it finished!

The Best Invention Since Sliced Bread!

This was written by guest blogger Sandra Dayton

What I have done before my DVR? The best shows seem to come on during my daytime working hours but with the help of this handy invention, my favorite shows are just a push of play away! I particularly enjoy watching daytime talk shows i.e. Ellen Degeneres, Oprah Winfrey and my all time favorite but soon to be cancelled The Tyra Banks Show! The DVR provided with my Satellite TV from bestchoicetv.com makes having to sit behind a desk all day not seem so bad knowing that I can come home and turn Oprah on for some motivation. And let's not forget about Rachel Ray who always has the best cooking tips on her daytime talk show.

Some other shows I like to record also include a few daytime soaps including Young and the Restless and General Hospital. Now I know that watching soaps can seem a little ancient, but with inventions like the DVR it's just that easier to know what exactly Victor Newman is up to in Genoa City! I'm sure as televison programming evolves I will have plenty additional content to add to my DVR recordings and I can hardly wait!

hungry and still awake...

It was 11:20pm and I am still awake. Everyone is sleeping already. I was kind a hungry so I need to go find something to eat in the kitchen. While eating, I was checking emails and play farmville but right now, the farmville isn't working. It said page not found. Hmmm... maybe our connection have problem. I have a slow connection today, my laptop don't have connection either. I will go to bed in a little while, I just need to finish one assignment. So hope everyone has a great evening and happy blogging to all!

camera...

Taking picture is my favorite thing to do, I love taking pictures of me and my kids. I love the digital camera that my husband bought. We bought it 3 years ago and our old Canon camera is in the drawer. We planned to sell it before when we had garage sale but we changed our mind. That Canon camera worth a lot and we still have free film for that. Maybe we will use it again when we go back to the Philippines for vacation next year or maybe give this camera to my sister so that they can use it. That way they can send me photos while I'm here at the States.

Quick update for the day...

My kids got sick this past few weeks, Dana’s fever is keep coming back, she’s teething and her teeth is bugging her a lot and she is grouchy at night. Dustin is feel better now but his sinus infection was still there. We keep giving him antibiotic for his sinus infection and ears because the last time we went to the Doctor, the Doctor said his right ear is kind a red. That’s the reason we cancel our trip going to Pueblo for our convention and we are hoping that we can go to Loveland this year. Too bad we missed the convention but we don’t have any choice, the health of our children is important.

Anyhow, since we are not going to the convention, I just keep myself busy watching with my two kids. I didn’t get more assignment this week that’s why I feel lazy to write a post. Playing Farmville at facebook is what I love to do especially in the morning and at night. I didn’t know that playing Farmville is fun and I am starting to enjoy this game!

What's for dinner?

Last night, I make a simple chicken dinner with garlic rice, broccoli and couliflower for the side dish and sweet mango. The chicken is very tasty, my husband love it. I love the sauce because I put a lot of butter and herbs and also white wine for additional taste. You can try it also, the recipe is easy. Just marinate the chicken with lots of garlic, salt, pepper and worchestire sauce. Then fry using olive oil and butter. Make it brown both side and transfer to the oven and leave it for another 30 or more minutes. For the sauce, just add herbs like rosemary and dried parsley at the pan where you fry the chicken. Add 1 tbs of butter and 1/4 cup of white wine. Keep scraping until the sauce well mix. Serve it with rice or your choice vegetable. Enjoy!
