Getting better or not?

Thunder’s elbow seems not getting better. My husband said it looks better than before but when I look at it, it seems like its getting worst. I am not sure but we still keep putting pads and Neosporin so that it won’t get infected. Poor Thunder, he might having hard time laying down especially when he lays down in a dirt. We are trying not to leave them too long in their kennel. I usually put them in the patio and change the pads twice a day. I know many dogs have elbow problem, hopefully we can find solution on how to make the elbow pads better. We are trying to find better materials and fabric to it but we couldn’t find it yet ,we are just using a temporary elbow pads by using thighs and sanitary pads.

Elbow Pads for Dogs

My husband and I are trying to figure out how to make Thunder elbow pads. Thunder our male mastiff has an elbow problem. His elbow got swollen and he keep licking it. Maybe because it was dry and it has a crack in it. We went to the fashion fabrics yesterday to buy the materials we need including the thick fabric, the Velcro and the stretchy thing. I also bought Dana a nice 1 yard fabric so that I can start make her another sun dress or like what they called the “pillow case baby dress”.

Anyhow, we finish one elbow pads and we tried it on to Thunder, it works okay but we are still working with it. We are not really happy with the outcome because whenever Thunder lays down, the pads didn’t stay in his elbow because It slides down. We might need to make another one with different design. Will see… Here are the photos!

Thunder got infection...

We notice that Thunder leg is swolen. He keep licking it at night and it bleeds too. So my husband decided to call the Vet to make an appointment. He took him to the Vet today around 7:30pm and they find out that Thunder got infection. They give him antibiotic so hopefully he will be okay.

When I got home...

We went on service this morning together with our brothers and sisters. We’re placing invitations for upcoming memorial this coming March 30th. We had great morning, we take a break at City Market. It’s Dustin favorite, to eat chicken at City Market every break time in service. Around noon time, I went home and shocked because when I open the door, all 3 dogs is in the living room. How they get here? I put them at the patio this morning. When I check the patio, the glass door is open and the screen door is knock down. I am not happy with it so I lock them up outside at their kennel. I don’t know how to put this screen door back. Maybe I need to wait until Mike will get home.

New photos of our dogs...

This photo taken yesterday in our dogs kennel at our backyard together with my husband Mike and my 3 year old son Dustin. Its so hard to handle them both because they are such a big dogs especially thunder the male in the right. When you tell them to sit down, they just lay down and dont listen to you. It takes a while before they sit down and calm down. They easily get so excited. Thunder and Princess are getting huge! hopefully we can breed them this coming summer! :-) will see about that because cocao our Pitbull the dominant female is the one who's in heat at this time.

Quick update...

Helo everyone! sorry for the late update. I was just busy watching our puppy who are sick right now. She needs more attention and love. She just got lymph nodes and eye infection. The owner of the puppy supposed to pick her up next week but we wont let them take the puppy on her situation. She needs lot of care right now because she was sick. We will let them take the puppy if the puppy are totally healthy. We dont want to be in trouble once the puppy will get sick when they are in the hands of the new owner. As a breeder, we need to make it sure that the puppy are all healthy and no problems. Hopefully the puppy will feel better tomorrow. Right now, the lymph nodes on her neck starting to go down. It looks smaller now than before. Her eyes looks better too, i think the antibiotic helps a lot. Get well soon little puppy!

Its Monday - Thunder is getting crazy

Oh yeah its monday again.. hehe :-) i have lot of things to do here in the house. Lot of dirty clothes to be washed. Need to clean the floor because i seen some blood spots of cocao our pitbull. We are trying to keep them separating (thunder and cocao) the mastiff and pitbull because right now Cocao is in heat, she has her period this week and Thunder (mastiff) is getting nuts and crazy because he really want to get hooked up with Cocao.

I put thunder and princess (both mastiff) at their kennel outside, but i can hear thunder always wining today. He jumped on me when i try to give them water im glad because i am not facing with him, so he jump at my back, not so bad because i close the gate right away. I didn't have good sleep last night because Thunder is really noisy. Wish cocao's period will gone this week, so that they will get back to normal and i dont need to worry about hearing thunder wining all the time hehe :-)

Mastiff...

Here are some photos of our Mastiff (Thunder and Princess). They are 10 months old. They're getting bigger everyday especially Thunder, his head is bigger than mike. They are such a sweet dog. The only problem that we have for them are they love chewing. Everytime we leave them at the kitchen, they're chewing the rugs and shoes. They are still puppies, so its okay. We just need to keep all the things away from them. We are planning to breed them maybe a year or two so watch out for that.
