Ocean Sunfish, Monterey Bay Aquarium

I can't imagine that this sea creature are 14ft and about up to 1000 lbs or more. It's nice to see the sunfish at their Open Sea Exhibit. We see a big sea turtle also eating those small tuna fish. Their scientific name is Molas. They are very slow and deliberate swimmers. We see couple of sunfish too out in the ocean when we went for Whale Watching. That was pretty cool!

Jelly Fish at the Monterey Bay Aquarium

Here are some of the Jellyfish photos I took. Isn't that beautiful? Jellyfish is very pretty sea creatures. They really amazed me. They are strange and captivatingly beautiful. They are one of my favorite sea creature that I always love to see whenever I go to the Aquarium. Kids love it too!

Then and now photos of the kids from Monterey Bay, CA.

The Kids at the Penguin Egg at Monterey Bay Aquarium, 2017

Years went by so fast! Can't believe the kids are already grown up. Dustin still remember the time when we first go at Monterey Bay Aquarium last 2011 but Dana said, she can't remember that she went there, so I showed her the photo and she can't believe it. She was 2 and a half years old by then. This is one of my favorite photos of them, very nice!

Monterey Bay Aquarium, November 2017

11.23.2018 --- This is our second time visit at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We still love their Aquarium. This time we didn't see the shark on their big aquarium. We only see the sunfish, sea turtles and small sharks like tiger sharks and hammer head sharks. The good thing is we get a chance to see the jellyfish! I love those jellyfish, very colorful and love the blue background in it. We did the jellyfish tour and we got a chance to touch the moon jelly. Kids love it! So will surely recommended the Monterey Bay Aquarium!

Sea Side Beach at Monterey

Love the waves here at the Sea Side Monterey. We didn't see anyone surfing but lots of people just chillin and watching the waves. So we get a chance to stay for a while and let the kids play the sand and watch the waves. It was pretty big waves! I got a nice photo of those waves, very nice.

View Deck from the Big Fish Grill, Monterey

This is the end of the Wharf here at Monterey, Big Fish Grill has a view deck open to public, I never tried their restaurant before but I bet they have great food too. I like the view on the deck side. You can view all the boats and the seals. We saw this little guy (Sea Otter), he is just swimming and busy eating something. We stay their for an hour before we head out to eat dinner in one of the restaurants here at Fisherman's Wharf. we end up eating at Fisherman's Grotto for our second night stay. Very good food indeed!

Fisherman's Wharf Monterey Bay, California

What I like the most here at Fisherman's Wharf Monterey is that they have great shopping area, great seafood restaurants, look at those crabs and lobster, looks so yummy! Love the clam chowder soup! They have bay cruises and whale watching too! Just to sit down in the wharf and see the sunset and eat yummy seafood, life is good! We had dinner at Scales and after dinner, my daughter and I receive a pretty white rose. Sweet! Too bad we didn't try the dessert, we don't have space for dessert that night, I was too full! :-)

Portola Hotel and Spa - View from our room

I really like our room at Portola Hotel and Spa. The bed is so comfy, clean and we had a nice view from our room. Their pool are very nice and cozy, love all the plants and the trees. They have free breakfast for 2, nice breakfast buffet! Will absolutely recommend this hotel.

Headed to Monterey Bay, California!

Nov. 22, 2017 -- 3:30pm we arrive at Monterey Bay. We had great time in San Francisco and now its time to enjoy our stay here in Monterey! We are staying for 3 nights. This is our second visit in Monterey, our last visit was 2011. Were looking forward to see the Fisherman's Wharf, the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Whale Watching!

We stay at Portola Hotel and Spa for 3 nights, it was a pleasant stay. Its a walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf where they have great seafood restaurants. We had dinner at Scales and the Fisherman's Grotto, very good food, we had a big family seafood plate, it was worth the price. Love their clam chowder soup bowl. Yummy!
