Will I make it?

This guest post from Lewis Beck

Thinking about whether or not I’m going to be able to pay my bills each month is really getting me down. Not to sound like a total buzzkill but I just worry that I’ll never be able to get ahead and start putting money away like I know I should be. I think when my hours got cut I was excited at first – it was nice to have more free time and I was really burned out at my job. But now that it’s been a few weeks I’m starting feel the strain on my wallet and I’ve been taking money out of my savings to cover my expenses which doesn’t work long term for me. I love my house and I don’t want to have to sell it so I’ve started thinking of ways I could cut back around here. For example, I went to www.electriccompaniestexas.net/ the other day and was looking into getting my energy rates down and then I talked to my Realtor about possibly renting out the basement to a tenant. I know that sounds crazy but at the same time it would really help to have another thousand bucks coming in, you know? I think it’s doable but at the same time I hate to imagine giving up the freedom I’ve had living here alone for so long. That’s why I bought a house in the first place! My mom is encouraging me to take on some side projects – I’m in construction – and that’s definitely something that’s crossed my mind. I don’t want to worry her but I don’t really have a lot of time…she doesn’t really know how tight things have gotten in the money department. I know if I had to I could turn to my parents for a loan but that’s the absolute last option, I think, that I’d like to resort to. I love being on my own and totally independent and that would be a step in the wrong direction.

ready for our trip this weekend!

Weekend is past approaching! Can't wait to go back in Grand Junction, attend assembly and meet my friend and of course i miss some of our brothers and sisters in the redlands congregation. The kids are excited, so hopefully my little girl will feel better soon that way we dont have to postpone our trip. Its kind a long drive about 5 hours something. So tomorrow we need to start packing and of course I still need to finish the laundry and cleaning the house that way we don't need to worry about when we get back, we also find someone to watch our big doggies. So happy trip for us and happy blogging everyone!

bar knobs

We went to Durango last week instead of going to Pueblo to shop. My husband wanted to buy something at Home Depot. Something he can use outside the yard and to our garden. We also bought a hose and a couple of trees, we also looking for a bar knobs but we couldn’t find the one that we need, then we went to Bernina to buy fabric but we didn’t find the one that we are looking for. It was a nice trip and we had lunch at one of the health food store there in Durango. Its more pretty drive than going to Pueblo and they have the same distance so either way. Well since we didn’t find bar knobs at Home Depot, we might need to go look for it online, I am sure the reidsupply has bar knobs that we need. Will check it out later.

almond milk than regular cow milk

As we all know that consuming dairy products everyday can cause a lot of problems to some people. Because some people have bad reaction to it and many people doesn’t even know about it. This dairy products can cause sinus problems to many people. Most children that has any ear problems like ear infection and the one that end up of tubes in their ears should be taken of dairy products. It’s the same problem with my husband and my 7 year old son. My son been having a sinus problem since he was 3 years old and we always took him to the doctor and use the same medication, he use antibiotic almost every day but when my husband found a video about dairy products and what problems it cause then we decided to make a big change in our diet, we stop using dairy and as for the substitute, we use almond milk and almond cheese instead. I heard that almond milk is better than the regular cow milk. They are pretty tasty and my 4 year old daughter like it too so I’m glad we minimize consuming dairy products and it make a lot of changes for my son and my husband. He stop taking antibiotic and his sinus stop, same results as my husband and we are so happy that we did it!

Almond Flour Sandwich Bread - Gluten Free!

Thanks to all people out there around the country who's following my blog, I'm glad you all appreciate my work! Thank you so much for stopping buy and for all your comment.

Well right now I want to share the Almond Flour Bread that I make. This is a substitute of a regular wheat bread. My husband and I are trying to minimize consuming wheat bread, soy, corn and dairy products so we came up to this idea which is using Almond Flour instead of using the regular flour. It turns out really good though and it taste yummy! My husband and my kids really love it! We order this Almond flour online and sometimes we also make an Almond Flour Chocolate Cookie that is provided on the back of the packaging. Its not the same as the regular chocolate cookie where it is crunchy, this one is soft and chewy and my kids love it too!

I found an Gluten Free Almond Flour Sandwich Bread online but I didn't add any flax seed or arrow root powder in it. I just make it with 1 1/2 cups of Almond Flour, 1/2 tsp salt and baking soda, 4 eggs, 1tsp honey and 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar. Mix dry ingredients into wet and make it double to fit on my baking pan, it really looks like banana bread! ;-) well even Banana Bread, I use Almond Flour too. Here is the photo of my yummy Almond Flour Sandwich Bread! Enjoy!

Old Town Trolley Tours

I love going on vacation with the family, I still remember those times when we went vacation in San Francisco. The kids really had fun, they really enjoy every moment of it and of course me and my husband are very happy that we took a week vacation in San Francisco. We had a lot of fun and not only that, we also went to Monterey Bay for more sight seeing. Actually we really wanted to go to San Diego but we never had enough time to do it all in a week. We don’t want to worn the kids so much so we decided to make another plan for another year or two. There are a lot of things to do when you go on vacation. One of it to go see nice and popular places in town. Ride an electric bus, trolley and even cable car! Go to the museum, aquarium, zoo and more!

Planning in a vacation is kind a stressful sometimes but when you plan it ahead of time then its worth the time and money. I know It cost a lot but as long you see your love ones happy and have great time then its all worth it! Well, I can’t wait for our new vacation next year, hopefully we can plan ahead of time and save enough money for our vacation. We might try to get an Old Town Trolley Coupon from cheapdanny.com and experience the greatest tours in town. They also have Old Town Trolley Tours Boston available. I wonder if my friend from Boston had try this tour? I know there are a lot of places to see in Boston and its nice to see new popular places there. Hopefully we can get a chance to visit them one day. But will see!
